If you’ve been following me for a while you might have seen me mention High Spirits before! It’s one of my favourite movies, and I especially like to watch it around this time and while the movie makes me laugh and I find it absolutely hilarious, this one scene used to freak me the fuck out when i was a kid! When I knew it was about to switch to this scene I would fully hide behind a cushion or duvet in preparation for it.
If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll hopefully know exactly what scene this is and if you haven’t seen the movie I recommend trying it out if you get the chance. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I think it’s great. It stars Peter O’Toole, Steve Guttenburg, Liam Neeson, Daryl Hannah, Liz Smith and many more names and faces you might recognise. It’s about a guy named Plunkett who is down on his luck with money and his Castle, so he lies about it being haunted to try and drum up some business and when some American tourists come to stay, he and his staff create and elaborate but cheesy hoax, but the guests realise he lied and faked it, all of them, O’Toole included, are surprised to find out that they have angered the real ghostly residents, and pandemonium ensues.
It doesn’t have amazing reviews anywhere but you should definitely give it a chance. Let me know if you have watched it in the comments. Although, if you don’t like it, we genuinely can’t be friends hahaha.
This nail art isn’t perfect but I’m a bit dozy because my dose has gone up on my Baclofen and it’s making me sleepy. I have had 2 hour naps 2 days in a row and I’m not even mad! It’s been the most restful sleep I have had in months upon months and was definitely needed. Also, for now, my pain has lessened a little and a little goes a long way. It won’t last, the effects of pills never do for me but I’ll take it!
Here is the thumb under black light. My lettering still isn’t the best, although it is improving, so I wanted to jazz it up a little with some glow in the dark, neon polish.
