Dark Snowfall with Born Pretty Metal Embellishments

I love the wheels of embellishments, so many little pretties. This wheel from Born Pretty Store is filled with 120 tiny and thin metal decorations in 12 different designs. Some of them are gold and some of them are black and they all have a bronzey coloured back.
The postman seems to hate them of course, so when they do come through the letterbox, they end up strewn all over each other and it drives me insane, so they must be separated and sorted.
The designs are: 3 different types of snowflakes, deer/reindeer, jumping deer/reindeer, bells, stockings, anchors, pumpkins, presents, stars and cog like flowers. Most of these are Christmassy but when I saw the little black snowflakes (top right) I knew exactly the nail art I wanted to do.

Christmas may be over, but it’s still Winter and I’m still holding on to hopes of even just a tiny bit of snow, just a smidge will do. Alas, it’s likely to not happy, it’ll just be the standard British rainy Winter that seems to be the norm now.
This is my ‘still dreaming through the dreary dinginess that a snowy Christmas might still happen’ mani!

I started with a base of 2 coats of Barry M Lady*, then I added the snowflakes while the polish was still wet. I only pushed down in the middle but that does mean that this mani was fairly impractical. The ends of the snowflake kept snagging on things and being dainty, thin slices of metal, they got damaged very easily, so if using them, I recommend waiting until the polish is dry and push the edges down gently and possibly adding a topcoat too.
I also added some dots using Barry M Black and a small dotting tool and it turned out very pretty, a lovely alternative to normal snowfall nail art.
If you want some of these pretty embellishments you can get this wheel on sale here for £1.43/$2.20
Don’t forget that you can use my code CBAQ10 for 10% off non sale items.
Have you had snow where you are?
*FYI, Barry M no longer sell their textured polishes, and last time I posted a mani using one of these polishes I had questions on where to get them, so I searched around a bit and found that Nail Polish Direct is selling the Royal Glitter Collection for £2.95 a polish with free standard UK delivery, they also ship to Europe, delivery prices can be found on their website. (I have never bought from them so can’t comment on that)
