What better way to resume blogging after the Easter break, than with this months Loot Crate? Even though this was dispatched over the Easter weekend, we received it on Tuesday, the delivery time has gotten shorter and shorter since we signed up, I hope this continues, I hate not being able to look at others Loot posts on Twitter because I don’t want Crate spoilers, I get enough of needing spoiler awareness during Sunday/Monday Game of Thrones time.
So this months theme for Loot Crate was Dragon. When I first heard that this was going to be the theme, I was all like:
I even went in and changed the t-shirt size from Male to Female, because if there was any chance there was going to be a dragon or Game of Thrones or Elder Scrolls related t-shirt, it was going to be mine and Hubs wouldn’t have a choice but to let me have it.
Sadly there was no t-shirt 🙁 but the items that were in the box are pretty freakin’ awesome anyways.
Enough of the blabber, you can see a bit more about the items in this epically themed box after the jump.
Elder Scrolls Online Exclusive Figure: Symbiote Studios and Bethesda:
You won’t find this ANYWHERE else: it’s just for Looters! Dragons, long lost to the passages of The Elder Scrolls, have returned to Tamriel, and the future of the Empire hangs in the balance. This Nord Figure will gloriously decorate any desk or shelf to remind you of your strength, your power and your unique skills. Claim your destiny.
Squeeeeeee, don’t you feel special when you have an exclusive item. Like you are in a club or something? This is such a cute (and fearsome, of course) figure.
Here he is with all his removable bits taken off. So, you get his horny little helmet, an axe and a sword.
Back of the box showing that it is a Loot Crate exclusive.
Game of Thrones Mystery Mini: Funko & HBO:
You’re never quite sure what’s going to happen next in Game of Thrones. Who’s going to die? Whose well laid plans will unravel in one solitary moment? Will Jon Snow ever know anything? The surprise might be the best thing about the series. That, or the witty insults. Keep the element of surprise alive with this Game of Thrones Mystery Mini.
This is the figure that I received.
After a little bit of searching on t’interwebs, I found that the name of this little guy is ‘Shaggy Dog’. Although this is adorable, I can’t help but wish that I had gotten one of the main cast but hey ho, it’s still Game of Thrones, HBO and Funko branded so I’m not that fussed. I love the idea of these Mystery Minis but I’m terrible with surprises and it would cost a fortune to get the whole collection. Blind bags and me don’t mix well.
Dragon Jerky: Harcos Lab & Loot Crate Labs:
Whether you’re travelling to Erebor through the Misty Mountains, or riding across the open plains of Skyrim, you’re going to need sustenance. Provisions will grant you high stamina, high spirits and overall battle readiness. Good thing we’ve got your back for any sudden tough terrain or enemies that you might face. Mikey’s Dragon Jerky is the food of choice for any brave traveller. High in protein- low in danger!
It’s been a while since I’ve eaten jerky and although the idea of Dragon Jerky is amazing, I’m a bit dubious about eating it. It’s incredible how much it looks like it could be from a dragon, but still, in my mouth it might not go.
Dragon Shield Screen Cleaner: Loot Crate Labs:
You’ve had to battle through a lot of dungeons and kill a lot of dragons to get enough gold for your fancy, futuristic smartphone. Maybe you’ve even had to save a princess or two. you don’t want it to get all smudged up with fingerprints and werewolf blood, do you? That’s why we included this Dragon Shield Screen Cleaner. Your phone serves as your map, your raven AND your portable game of cyvasse. Treat it with respect, and keep it looking new!
This has me in a little bit of a dilemma. I always have a case on my phone, currently it is this Wonder Woman case, so, do I take the case off and have this on the back of my phone? Or, do I put this on the back of my phone and have the wonder woman case over it? Or, do I find some other way of using it and have it on show so as to encounter this situation- ‘What, this? Oh that’s just my Loot Crate Dragon Shield. Yeah it is pretty awesome’
20 Sided Polyhedral Dice and 20 Sided Stress Dice: Loot Crate Labs:
20 Sided Polyhedral Dice: It’s always good to have a D20 around for all those tough life decisions. Especially when you’re a geek or gamer. You find yourself in quite a lot of dilemmas, and not everyone might understand your frustration. Should you play twelve more hours of Elder Scrolls Online? Should you binge watch the past three seasons of Game of Thrones? Well, the answer to these two questions is an obvious yes, but at least this die will make it look like it was a tough decisions.
20 Sided Stress Dice: Is your Dungeon Master choosing the lamest quests? Does your friend keep RPing as Navi from Legend of Zelda? Grinding for herbs, running long distances without mounts, and fighting raid bosses with a terrible tank can get REALLY annoying. Well you no longer need to resort to table flipping or rage quitting. Just take it out on this 20 Sided Stress Ball! Put your mind at ease every time you roll a 20, knowing that an epic Loot Crate is always right around the corner.
Honestly, I don’t know any Nerd or Geek that doesn’t have a D20, and most of the ‘norms’ won’t understand how useful one of these little doohickeys can be. And the stress ball, well, the stress ball makes me want a desk at a really tough job just so I can have this on my desk as a go to when things get really stressful.
*side not: Doohickeys is an actual word, that I did not know.
Dragon Slayer Tag: Loot Crate Labs:
Not all dragons are trainable. From Alduin of Tamriel to Smaug who laid waste to Dale and captured Erebor from the Dwarves, there are many dragons to be slain. With the great battle between man and beast raging on, it is now up to you to turn the tides of war. Wear your Dragon Slayer Tag into battle and lay claim to your legacy.
I love this, it doesn’t quite go with most of my jewellery, although Hubs wears dog tags so he might lay claim to this, if he doesn’t, I may turn it into a keyring and have my Dragon Slayer credentials with my keys at all times.
And of course, who can forget, this months collectible pin badge. These badges are always fab and I’m starting a nice little collection of them now.
This is another great gathering of loot this month, and I have yet to be disappoint when it comes to Loot Crate. I couldn’t help but feel the warm, cosy feeling of nerd love when reading the item descriptions in this months magazine. I would have loved a t-shirt bearing this theme BUT, Loot Crate have already told us that the next box will have a t-shirt and so I’m going to leave my t-shirt options set to female t-shirts so regardless of what the theme is next month, the t-shirt will be mine mwahahaha.
Hope you enjoyed this months Loot Crate post and if you haven’t already signed up, then FEEL MY WRATH, or sign up here, it is definitely, absolutely, nerdtastically (that’s a word, right?) worth it!!!
For the last two months, I have done some nail art based on an item in the box(Catbug and Titanfall), I’m struggling to think of what I could do this month as I have a bit of bloggers block going on, if you have any suggestions/ ideas that you think I should do, let me know in the comments.
