NOTD: Ciate Bon Bon

Ok, so i didn’t add anything to the Barry M Lemon ice cream, I actually loved it so much that I didn’t want to remove it. And I am so gutted that I removed it for this.

While browsing nail stuff on eBay, I spotted that there was a lot of hype around Ciate Caviar polishes, so I thought I would try a normal one to see if the hype for Ciate was justified. And I am not ashamed to say, I partly wanted to buy it for the cute bottle with the bow on it.

It actually took me 2 tries to get it to this standard. it dries really quickly, mostly whilst I was still applying, and so it left drag marks and streak marks in the finish the first time, then it bubbled.

On my 2nd try, I moved much quicker in applying, and so the finish was much better, very shiny and smooth.

You can see the shine in the above image, and it seems like quite a mauve colour in this image but it’s actually more lilac than it shows.

I really wanted to like this colour, but it just doesn’t suit me, I think it’s maybe because I am so pale, and I think it might be better suited to someone with more olive skin or a really good tan.

I’m not sure if I will buy a Ciate polish again, unless I see a colour i really really want. Let me know if you like the Ciate polishes and which particular colours you like.

I also got a new stamping plate today that I thought I would share with you:

Sorry, but I couldn’t get a decent picture of it, so i have used a stock photo but I’m looking forward to using this plate and seeing what I can get out of it.

Hope you all had a good weekend and are enjoying this wonderful *ahem* Monday.

:)x
