Loot Crate: Horror

This month, Loot Crate’s theme was ‘Horror’! I don’t think they have ever done a horror crate around Halloween before, they tend to steer away from it, so it was a fun and unexpected theme.
The pin badge is cool but not one of my favourites. I wish they had stuck with the same style of pin that they normally do and did it with this image, that would have been more awesome. Let’s jump in and check out the other items in this month’s crate.

EXCLUSIVE Leatherface Phunny Plush (Kidrobot)
‘We don’t recommend you walk up and hug Leatherface, the iconic “star” of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, if you should ever encounter him (it’ll be hard to get close anyway with him swinging hig signature chainsaw around willy nilly). Instead, Loot Crate exclusively presents this adorable plush from Kidrobot’s Phunny line.’
Aaaaaaaw this is so cute, I’m going to hug him and squeeze him and…wait… what’s that noise? Is that… is that a chainsaw? Ah, it’s fine, it’s gotta be made from plush materials, right? Aaaaarrrrrrgggggh! OH NO! It’s real, oh my god ruuuuuuunnnnnnn! Not cute! He’s not cute! *sobbing* I’m so sorry, you’re not cute!!!
Phew, that was close. Murdery teddies are cute but still murdery. There were 2 versions of this (happy or sad), with a 50/50 chance of either and we got the happy version.
EXCLUSIVE Camp Crystal Lake Pennant (Licensed by Paramount, made by The Coop)

‘Ah, picturesque Camp Crystal Lake. Oh no, your commemorative pennant has a bit of red on it… uh, don’t mind that. Everything’s fine. Nothing to see here…’
All I could think when typing was ‘You’ve got red on you’! Camp Crystal Lake, the perfect getaway or the perfect place to lose your virginity or take a load of unruly kids to play in the water! Isn’t it just perfect?! This pennant is huge and has ties on one end. It’s a proper floopy one, not one of the smaller hard backed ones, it’s pretty decent quality and hangs nicely.

EXCLUSIVE Freddy kreuger Chopsticks (Licensed by New Line Cinema, made by Icup.)
‘Add a sprinkle of fright to your meal with these stainless steel chopsticks. Perfect for display or daily use, they’re the utensils of your dream…!’
These are awesome and they make me wish so bad that I could use chopsticks, I’ve just never been able to get the hang of it, my fingers derp, and now I want noodles. The Nightmare on Elm Street franchise was probably some of the first, proper horror movies I watched (after IT and Leprechaun) and I watched them often with my Dad, so Freddy has a special, scary, place in my heart.
The hand/glove bit is like a silicone material so it’s soft, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t come off, so are these maybe cheatsticks? The actual chopsticks are pretty long, plus being stainless steel, if you do use them, they should last for ages.

EXCLUSIVE Legion of Regrettable Supervillains Book (Made by Quirk)
‘In over 80 years of comics, not every character is a winner. In fact, some of the villains are HORRIFYINGLY bad. Read all about them in the companion book to the Loot Crate exclusive League of Regrettable Superheroes.’
Yay, that’s an awesome book. We have the League of Regrettable Superheroes too, that we got from Loot Crate: Heroes 2 and I think they are great, I love the artwork in them! They are perfect coffee table books.

EXCLUSIVE AMC’s The Walking Dead Negan Sluggers T-Shirt (Licensed by AMC, made by Loot Crate, inc)

‘This original Loot Crate design is sure to be a homerun!’
This t-shirt is awesome. I still haven’t watched last season, so I technically only know who Negan is from social media and I already know who he takes out this season, because of social media but I’ll hopefully get round to watching it soon.
The t-shirt is great quality, very comfy and with a nice print on it. It feels a bit too small again, I’m thinking I might have to change up to the next tee size. I’m not sure if they have changed their sizing at all, is anyone else having this problem?
The box art was pretty cool and featured a pop out/cut out zombie mask! An elasticated string was included in the box to thread the mask so you could wear it, it’s pretty scary, I got Kian good with it, *maniacal laughter*
So this month’s box was pretty great and it was nice to have a holiday appropriate one, just made a nice change. Next month’s theme has been revealed and is to be ‘Magical’ with some items from Doctor Strange, Fantastic Beasts and Big Trouble in Little China, so that sounds like it’s going to be awesome!
