You may have noticed that Born Pretty has had a revamp of their packaging lately but did you also know that they have brought out some new products to go along with it? Well this Water Based Nail Polish Remover is one of those new products.
When you open the lid, it has a raised disc, this is a pump action device that you place your cotton pad/ball onto and press down and it squirts it with the remover. I did manage to squirt this everywhere on my first go but by the second, I had got the hang of it.
The remover does have a strong smell but it is not unpleasant at all, it smells sort of flowery and is much nicer than some removers I have tried.
My favourite thing about this remover is that it is perfect for cleaning stamping plates. In the above photo, I have cleaned the left side of the plate with Superdrug Acetone Free remover and the right side with the Born Pretty remover, as you can see, the right side looks so much better. One of the reasons the left side looks cloudy is because acetone free removers have certain oils in them that play havoc with the surface of stamping plates, for that reason, you should really been using acetone remover to clean plates.
When the whole plate is cleaned with the Born Pretty remover you can see that it is super shiny and looks great. It dries really fast, like in seconds and you can actually watch it drying and the plate getting shiny. Of course, it also works great for removing nail polish from nails but that is kind of hard to demonstrate in photos so I thought this was the better way to go. It didn’t leave any oils or residue on my nails and took all of the polish off. I am definitely going to have it as my go to plate cleaner though. Plus, it’s a cute, compact bottle that sits nicely on my desk too.
You can find this 100ml bottle here for £5.07/$6.99 and don’t forget to go check out all the other new goodies, I have some more of them to show you this week so keep an eye on the blog. Don’t forget that you can use code CBAQ10 to get 10% off all non sale items.
