Today is Back to the Future day, the day when Doc Brown, Marty and Jennifer travelled into the future to save their kids. I don’t know about you but there are three things Marty’s 2015 that I am still waiting for, the instant/hydrated pizza, self tying shoe laces and of course, the hover board. At 4.29 today the entire Back to the Future franchise will take place completely in the past and that kind of makes me a little sad.
The Back to the Future movies are some of my all time favourite movies, because obviously they are. The Mattel hover board from the movie is awesome and lets be honest, something that everyone would love to have and even though we are close to hover technology becoming a reality, it won’t quite be like this one.
I was planning on doing some hover board nails for Back to the Future day and then this awesome hover board replica was in this month’s Loot Crate and it seemed perfect to do my Inspired by Loot Crate nails on Back to the Future day, kind of killing two birds with one stone.
These turned out way more awesome than I thought they would and I actually freakin’ love them! I shall be proudly wearing them while indulging in a Back to the Future marathon later on.
Polished Used: Barry M Berry Ice Cream, Barry M Rhossili, Barry M Key Lime, Barry M Dragon Fruit, Barry M On Your Marks, Ciate Red Hot Chilli, Barry M Spring Green. I also used an image from Moyou Pro Collection 10 and the Barry M white nail art pen for details. Yes that is a lot of Barry M polishes but so many of the polishes were the perfect shade.
The thumb nail turned out to be my favourite nail, I love how the Mattel circle looks, no I didn’t write Mattel, I just did some little squiggles, tiny writing is so hard, evidenced by the abomination that is the words Hover and Board on my middle nail.
Anyway, I expect you all to watch the Back to the Future movies at some point today with pizza and Pepsi while wearing a body warmer, sneakers and a holographic hat.
