Granny’s Plates with Born Pretty Floral Water Decals

I’m finding out more and more lately, that I am actually really bad at time management and organising myself, especially this week as I am doing a City and Guilds Customer Services Course, nothing massive, just a little level 1 qualification, but I am honestly struggling to manage anything when it has finished for the day. Mainly because I’m getting horrible headaches afterwards, I think it might have something to do with the lighting in the building.
Although I have been keeping my nails different each day and nicely polished, I haven’t been doing anything extravagant, just a glitter on top of a nice autumnal colour. So because we finished a little early today, and because I had no appointments or anything this afternoon, I decided to try and catch up on some of my Born Pretty Store items.
Today I have used these pretty blue floral water decals. It might just be me, but the moment I saw the pattern, it really reminded me of the china set that ever Granny seemed to have when I was growing up, it was always ‘the good set’ and was normally on display somewhere safe out of reach of tiny, destructive hands.
So here is what I did with them.
There are 4 different designs and you get 4 of each one. I have used 3 different ones on this mani.
Like the cute cat decals I tried before, each decal is individually cut so no fiddly cutting to deal with.
They took only a few seconds in the water until they slid right off the backing, there was no colour run, which I have had before with decals that have vibrant colours. They lay flat really nicely and on the 3 nails in the middle I had no creases at all, yes the thumb and pinkie was a different story, I used the same design on both and I was being really finickity with it and wanted them to go a certain way, so this was my fault and not an issue with the decals.
I topped it all with a coat of Seche Vite and there was no curling from the decals at all.
I do love a white mani and the simplicity of adding bright, floral decals to give a pop of nail art has always been something I am fond of.
You can buy these decals from Born Pretty Store here for £1.76 ($2.86) and if you are doing a little shop, you can use my code CBAQ10 at checkout for 10% off your entire basket.
Did these decals remind you of your Granny’s best china set?
:)x

The water decals in this post were sent to me for review. All opinions expressed are my own honest opinions.
