Loot Crate: Rewind

It’s getting harder and harder with each month to avoid spoilers for Loot Crate, especially since the time it takes for it to get to us seems to be getting longer and longer. When we first signed up to Loot Crate, the maximum time we would have to wait from dispatch day was 4 days, now its upwards of 10 days and has been for the last 3 months. I’m not sure what has changed but my little bitch over, lets move on to this months crate.
The theme this month is Rewind, A look back at geek and gaming past. Who doesn’t love retro nerdisms?

Black Tie Geek: Exclusive Retro Arcade Skinny Tie
‘It’s sleek and it’s chic- it’s Black Tie Geek! Inspired by one of our favourite early arcade game, this stylishly skinny tie makes the perfect accessory for both guys and gals!’
Black Tie Geek are awesome. This tie is awesome. I first heard of them in our very first Loot Crate when we received the Catbug bowtie. In the magazine it shows a guy wearing it as a tie and a girl wearing it in her hair, I am definitely going to attempt to wear it in my hair.
Squid Kids Ink: Exclusive So Analog 10-Doh! Figures
‘They’re retro, they’re inspired, they’re so analog! Some may think that these miniature game cartridges are a thing of the past, but we think they still have legs, and arms and feet and accessories too. Standing 3 inches tall, the figures are inspired by our favourite NES console games from the 80’s and 90’s. Six in all including a super-rare gold variant. Some easy assembly required.’

Omg, how friggin’ adorable are these? I came across these only last month and I am so chuffed that they are in this months crate. We got Alien Attack which I’m pretty sure is meant to be Mars Attacks. There were 5 other variants, Korben’s Alley (Fifth Element), 1 Point 21 Jiggawattz (Back to the Future), Dr. X Who (Dr. Who), Fire Hunt (Firefly) and the gold variant was The Legend of the Future (Back to the Future/Legend of Zelda). The brackets are what I am assuming they are based on, I could be wrong, these are just my guesses.
If I’d had the choice, I would have definitely chosen Korben’s Alley the Fifth Element one, it has a Mangolore on the front! In fact, I want it so much that I am going to keep an eye on eBay so I can get it.

Marvel: Exclusive Star Wars Comic Book Issue 001
‘Would you look at that cover! Who else but Loot Crate could enlist Solo and Chewy to deliver our crates throughout the galaxy?! We’re not going to spoil the story for you , but they’re definitely Defenders of the crate.’
I really like getting comics in the box, we are starting to get a little Loot Crate comic collection and receiving a 001 Star Wars made it even better. I haven’t read it yet but Man and Boy have and I intend to chill out with a nice cup of tea and this comic very soon.

Loot Crate Lab: Exclusive 8-Bit Glasses
‘For 2015, we’re dressing you in all our finery. These stylish and durable 8-bit sunglasses will protect your peepers from the sun’s harmful UV rays while upping your coolness quotient. They may look retro, but remember, orange is the new black.’
These glasses are cool and perfectly nerdy. I haven’t tried them in the sun, because, well, the UK and the sun aren’t friends, so I don’t know if the UV protection is any good. Let’s face it though, 8-bit and in Loot Crate colours, retina safety comes last!

Unemployed Philosophers Guild: Comic Notebook
‘After you’ve finished reading the Star Wars Comic Book 001, create your own with this handy notebook that features blank comic book panels and stencils for dialogue bubbles and other shapes. Compact size fits in your back pocket. Your big ideas are all that’s needed! 60 pages.’

I love this…. I’m not sure I can fill it with anything that is A) any good or B) makes any sense, but I’ll have a good go at it.

If I completely fail then I’m sure I can think of other uses for it.

Flophouse: Exclusive Voltron Blueprint T-Shirt
‘Whether you’re defending the universe or defending your place on the sofa, you’ll look great doing it in this uber-exclusive t-shirt design available to a chosen few- you, the Loot Crate community. It’s contemporary fit is soft and comfortable and flatters any physique!’
Adding to my massive and rapidly growing t-shirt collection, Loot Crate t-shirts are some of my favourite t-shirts. The designs are always amazing and the fit is perfect and this Voltron t-shirt is just as awesome as the rest.

The Rewind collectable pin badge. It pains me to know that some of the subscribers of Loot Crate will have no idea what this is a picture of. I bet you hadn’t thought about that and some of them will only know that it is a cassette tape because of Guardians of the Galaxy.

The box this month couldn’t have been any more perfect. It turned up looking like a regular Loot Crate, black on the out side and a design on the inside lid, except the box turned inside out and the other way round and it became a NES, with a push out bit from the back of the magazine becoming the controller. I will use this for all the storage stuffs!
So we have been a Loot Crate subscriber for a year now and I can honestly say that I have never truly been disappointed with the overall content each month. I really would recommend this to anyone who is into the same stuff, it is well worth the money.
If you would like to sign up you can do so by going to this link here, click it, click it now! When I signed up they only shipped to 3 countries, now they ship to 12!
Have you been tempted to sign up? What did you think of this month’s Loot? I’m planning on doing some inspired by Loot Crate nails for this crate, keep an eye out for those soon.
:)x
