Sparkly Vernis ‘Blurple Ice Cubes’

9 weeks ago, I won 3 beautiful Sparkly Vernis polishes on an Instagram comp being ran by LacquerLandUK and Rainbow Connection. I was very lucky as these polishes are stunning and I have never owned or tried any Sparkly Vernis polishes before.
I put them on my desk when they arrived and whoosh, like many things these days, the memory of them disappeared from  my brain. Of course, every now and then, I would sit at my desk and lovingly glance over at them, see how beautiful they are and tell myself that once I was done with the current mani, that I would try them out, then whoosh, gone again.

Not this time though, with the sun having been out more often than not lately in these parts, the holo polishes always come out and get used loads, so it was about bloody time I got at least one of these polishes on my nails. So my first use of them had to be Blurple Ice Cubes and not just because I love the name, isn’t it lush though?
Blurple Ice Cubes is blue/purple holo that, in my opinion/ lighting, leans more on the blue side but it definitely has a lilac side that peeks out every now and then. It has a very strong linear holo that shines through beautifully in green, yellow, orange, pink and red. It applied smooth like butter, dried quickly to a semi matte finish and was easy to clean up. I used 2 coats with one coat of Seche.

In the shade, where the holo doesn’t show through at all, Blurple Ice Cubes looks like a gorgeous icy, matte blue polish.
I haven’t added any nail art for a few reasons, mostly because I’m being lazy but also because this is such a beautiful holo that it should be worn on it’s own, in all it’s nakey beauty. I can’t wait to try the other 2, let’s hope I don’t forget about the again.
:)x
