Star Wars Week Day 3: C3PO Nails

These nails took forever! I wanted to do C3PO nails but I wanted them to be proper shiny/reflective and the best idea I could come up with was glequins, so I painstakingly placed all the glittah as neatly as possible and then did the details on top.
They look freaking awesome and I have already had compliments on but they are an absolute pain in the ass to photograph and the photos really don’t do them any justice at all. IRL they are something else, if I do say so myself.

To start with, I used a base of Barry M Black and then placed the glitters using a clear Poundland polish and a cocktail stick, then I topped with one coat of Seche, except on one nail that needed 2 coats because some of the glequins didn’t sit properly. The glequins I used are around 1.2mm in size and are from a pack of 12 different colours which you can find on Born Pretty and eBay.
Then I used Barry M Nail art pen in Black to add the details, the middle finger is a stamp from Bundle Monster BM-418, I removed some of the outer, unattached swirls first then applied it to the nail.

This is my favourite photo of this, it would make a great macro, you can see how shiny and reflective it is and you can see the black details really well.
I have 2 problems now, first of all, I don’t want to take these nails off because they are so pretty and secondly, I have no idea what mani to do for tomorrow 🙁
Also, a non nail related problem, we have had to cancel our plans to go and see the movie this week so I’m going to have to stay away from spoilers now, which is going to be such a pain in the ass, hopefully we get to go see it soon. Are you going to see it?
:)x
