Lorna from The Well Polished Blog has been doing some gorgeous gradients recently and many of them have been with the creme version of the Danglefoot Neons, so I decided to have a go at gradienting (definitely a word, just don’t look it up). It’s been a while since I last successfully gradiented (see previous brackets) so I started with the colours that would blend easily together for this review of Born Pretty Store Vinyls. From top to bottom, I used Steal a Kiss, Break the Rules and Ditch the Diet and I love the finished look. It’s not a bad gradient if I do say so myself, go me for fun nail art.
The vinyls themselves are HOLO!!! This was the best photo I could get of the rainbow but it is very pretty. The actual vinyl is quite thin and I worried I was going to rip it just by taking it off the backing, I didn’t though. They stuck very well to the nail and didn’t leave behind any sticky residue when they were removed, which was also easy.
I did get a little bit of seepage under the vinyl in some places but I get that with about every vinyl I have tried and I suspect it is because my nails are pretty curved so the vinyl sits a bit funny. It’s easily fixed though with a clean up brush and nail polish remover.
You get 9 full sized vinyls on the sheet and 3 nail tip vinyls. You can find them here for £0.70/$0.99 for the sheet.
