I fucking love the Barry M Holographic Molten Metals! There, I said it in it’s full glory exactly how I was thinking it! But I really do love them! I know we have seen loads of holo polishes and with stronger holo from indies but when it comes to the highestreet holos, Barry M have it completely nailed! Ever since they brought out Holographic Lights last year, I have been hoping with crossed fingers and toes that they would bring out more colours in the range and ok, I wasn’t quite expecting these colours but I adore them even more because of that reason, because I probably wouldn’t have bought these shades otherwise and would have definitely been missing out.
Here’s hoping that some of you haven’t seen these yet so you can ooh and aaah along with me here.
Holographic Moon
Holographic Moon is a gorgeous nude/sandy holo! It’s perfect for when you are trying to have an office/school/anytime appropriate look but you’re also a holo whore and you’re not afraid to show it.
Holographic Rocket
Holographic Rocket is a kind of pinky, amethyst purple.
Holographic Sunburst
Holographic Sunburst is a stunning burnt red and I love how the orange in the holo shows up against this one, it’s very fiery.
Holographic Flare
Holographic Flare is a gorgeous green, I’m not even sure what shade of green (sage maybe?) but it really is stunning and the holo sets it off nicely.
All 4 polishes were perfect in 2 coats and I have swatched them without topcoat. They have a nice near-glossy finish to them and even though the holo is multi sized holo particles, they finish fast and smooth.
I am so impressed with these again and I can’t wait to see what they bring out next. I would definitely love to see more colours in this range and I hope to see more shades that I wouldn’t expect them to bring out. Plus, I am still hoping that we see some more glitter Gelly polishes in the future too.
You can pick these up direct from the Barry M website, or Superdrug and Boots for £3.99 each.
And I am finishing off this post with some cute nail art using all 4 polishes. I literally just swiped the colours over the nail blending each colour as I went. The images are all from the Uberchic Unicorn Love plate and I stamped these with Moyou Black Knight, then I topped everything off with a coat of Seche Vite.
