Back in May, I posted a few throwback photos to Instagram Stories of some of my very first nail art and I asked if there were any that anyone liked but thought I could improve on now that my skills have advanced a little bit. Daisy (a fellow nerd) said that she liked my Slytherin nails but would like to see how I would do them now. So that is what I have done today.
I think with my original Slytherin nails, I tried to fit too much into it and it just looked overall too busy, in my opinion. So for this mani, I decided to go a little simpler, basing my look on Slytherin cardigans and sweaters. I started with a base of Barry M Cardamom, then I stamped the lines on using Barry M Silver Foil and Bundle Monster BM-411. For the Slytherin badge I used the hēhē plate 027 from the Harry Potter collection and I stamped first using Moyou Black Knight and then on top but slightly off using Barry m Silver Foil.
Instead of having a Unicorn as my preferred Patronus, I used my Patronus from Pottermore, which is a Sparrowhawk, and this was the closest I had in stamps and you can find this bird on the Moyou Gothic Collection plate 01. I stamped it in Barry M Cotton first, then again with KBShimmer PT Young Thing.
I topped it all with a coat of Seche Vite and then topped that off with Barry M Matte topcoat to complete the look!
Which Slytherin mani did you prefer? Is there any other nail art that you would like to see me either do differently, or recreate?
