The Beauty Big Bang XL-034 stamping plate has some super cute images (although I’m not quite sure about that Santa at the bottom, his face is kind of creepy) but the task of trying to do not so Christmassy mani’s with a Christmas stamping plate is quite a difficult one.
I hear you saying “so why not go for the cute Spring images on the plate, Chrissie?”. Yeah I didn’t do that, clear solid choice though, but I didn’t take that option.
Nope, see, I’m still desperately hoping for snow, we do tend to get at least a smidge around this time of the year, so when I see snowflakes of anything even remotely snow related, that’s what is going on my nails!
For this mani I used Barry M Frost and a nameless metallic blue from an M&S set that the lovely PolishedByLeanne got me a year or two ago, isn’t it so pretty? I had not idea it stamped so nicely, now I might have to try it over black. I used Moyou White Knight for the white stamping and I topped it all off with a coat of Barry M Matte topcoat.
For the second nail look, I had to use the pretty star-map/space image from the top left. I planned this one out and tried several bases out on my nail art mat to try and see what worked for me. I settled on the beautiful glitter gradients of Wikkid Polish Orion, Aurora, Phoenix and Calypso.
It looks absolutely stunning irl but unfortunately I just couldn’t capture that on camera.
It still looks gorgeous but it’s just not in all it’s glory. I used Moyou Black Knight to stamp the image over the glitter. and topped it all off with a coat of Seche Vite.
Anyway, the stamping plate is fab, perfectly etched with no imperfections. You can find this plate here for £2.81/$3.59 and don’t forget to use code PLUS10 for 10% off your Beauty Big Bang order.
