Back in December I was going through a bit of a tough time as the DWP decided to spring a form on me a few days before Christmas and gave me a short time to sort it out. Like most disabled people out there, I absolutely dread any brown envelope dropping through the letterbox and DWP stress was what caused my big relapse in 2016, furthering my disability. So the stress was high and stress and MS do not mix well.
And then a lovely surprise dropped through my letterbox. The wonderful Sarah, of Wikkid Polish, had sent me 2 bottles of beautiful polish to help cheer me up! Things have been so hectic since December that I have not had the time to swatch these beauties. Until now, that is!
Elara
First up is Elara. Named from Elara of Greek Mythology, this stunning multichrome shows as purples and pinks with flashes of amber, gold and red. The formula is perfection and was excellent in 2 coats. It dries fast and finishes to a beautiful glossy finish.
And here is a bottle shot just to show those flashes of amber and gold that I failed to capture on my nails.
Taboo
The second stunning polish is Taboo. Taboo is an indigo magnetic with a scattered holo and a purple, magnetic shimmer. It is a very sci-fi-ish polish and I freaking love it! It is perfect in 2 coats, has a beautiful formula and dries quickly to a glossy finish. The magnetic effect is very easy to get, although as it is a normal polish and not a gel, the magnetic particles do spread slightly as it fully dries.
And here’s a bottle shot to show flashes of colour that I missed.
Both of these polishes have that fantastic Wikkid Polish formula and are both absolutely stunning. There is even a holo version of Elara available too. These polishes are available on the Wikkid Polish website (although Taboo is currently out of stock) and if you are in the States, then these are both available for Pre-Order from Beutometry.
Have an awesome day my lovelies.
:)x
They are nice, especially the magnetic. They seem to be back in fashion now!
They really are. It’s funny how crazes like these come back around, but they are way better quality now.
