The Lacquer Legion: Lucky

Today is the day for The Lacquer Legion month 3, and the theme for this month was ‘Lucky’.
I sense your confusion on how this mani relates to that theme, we’ll let me explain. I don’t consider myself to be a lucky person in the sense that you would normally think of. I don’t get big breaks and I don’t have loadsa money, I don’t win things very often and my health is pretty poor, so in the normal sense, I’m not lucky. BUT, I ‘thank my lucky stars‘ everyday for what I do have and that’s where the galaxy nails came from, they are my lucky stars.

I’m fairly certain that I have never done galaxy nails before on the blog, although I have attempted them before and was never happy enough with those attempts to post them on the blog.
I grabbed a handful of polishes that I thought would go well together and started sponging away, some bits went a bit wrong but ultimately, I think it was a success.
I took my inspiration from the master of galaxy nails- Sammy from Nailasaurus  We're Not Worthy Smiley . Sammy does a tutorial for Galaxy nails here and here is my all time favourite Galaxy nail art of hers.

Polishes Used: Barry M Black, Barry M Diamond Glitter, Barry M Matt White, OPI Dutch ‘Ya Just Love OPI, Barry M Prickly Pear Gelly, Barry M Cyan Blue, Rimmel Pulsating and Maybelline New York 461 Copper.
You may also notice that my nails are super short, I had some major breakages on both my thumbs, then the next day, I had even worse breaks on 3 of my nails on my left hand (photo hand) so decided to take them all down short for a while.
If you are interested in taking part in The Lacquer Legion each month, check out their Facebook page  and if you would like to check out the other amazing mani’s that people have done for the Lucky theme, then search #LLlucky on any social media site.
