One of the huge benefits of being a parent during the Christmas season is that you get to test all the toys and food to make sure it’s “safe” for the kids and you just generally have a “fuck it, it’s Christmas” attitude. But one of the major downside of this season as a parent or someone who is generally around kids is germs. Especially from kids at school, the transfer of germs is crazy and even if a kid isn’t sick, doesn’t mean they aren’t some sort of carrier of illness. Kian is a definite carrier and in this house, the germs can sneak up on you no matter how proactive you are with cleaning, you WILL get sick. Having an autoimmune disease can mean that getting “normal” sick causes a huge domino effect with all your other symptoms.
So today I have been a bit meh about pretty much everything. I have barely moved and just want cake! I am however, determined to be better for Christmas so am going to listen to my body and take it easy.
Which means that this is my last mani for BMGLITZMAS but I absolutely love this gradient and I have absolutely NOT done it justice here. It is so sparkly and pretty in real life and I am so ready for Santa to be here already.

Do any of you still do the ISS sighting on Christmas Eve? If you have no idea what I am talking about. The International Space Station does a pass over on Christmas Eve and as long as the sky is clear, you can see the lights and you can tell the kids that it is Santa. Pop over to this dedicated website closer to the date and you can see the times that it will be visible from where you are. This has been something that has brought great joy and excitement to Kian for years, I highly recommend it if You have young kids!
Are you excited for Christmas now? Yeah, me too!
